Until 3:17 this afternoon, I would not have thought about using a Whoopie Cushion to introduce the basics of yogic deep breathing techniques but God Bless me, Divine Inspiration slapped me upside the head yet again.
Playfulness, stress relief AND a plastic fart simulation device. PRICELESS!
(No doubt my parents are insanely proud right now)
Giggle On! is proud to present my YouTube debut (sans make-up and decent hair-doo, whoopsie):
vwla-la, Ta-Da and drum roll pu~lease…

Hee hee hee. How fun would it be to bring a whoopie cushion to a really serious yoga class??? You know, the kind where everyone refers to all the poses only with their Sanskrit name and knows the Gayatri Mantra by heart?
I’ll be thinking about whoopie cushions in my next yoga class, that’s for sure!
Blessings,
Andrea

Hmmm…looking at that previous comment about bringing a whoopi cushion to a really serious yoga class: I’d say that if your yoga class is so serious that a whoopi cushion would be inappropriate, it’s time to find a new one. If there’s one thing I’m sure of, it’s that yoga should not make people uptight!
Love the video, Christa (and hey, now that I hear your voice, you really are from South Philly! (Though I’ll admit I expected you to sound more like Marisa Tomei…)

@ Andrea – I would LOVE to bring a Whoopi Cushion into yoga class. Perhaps I should develop Giggle Yoga – a combination of asanas, breathing exercises (with Whoopi cusions and kazoos) and some Laughter Yoga moves. This could be HUGE! muah-ha-ha-ha
@ YogaforCynics – glad to see you bro! I agree, yoga does not mix with uptight. Glad you like the video – I threw that puppy together on the fly. Videocams ROCK!
I lived in center city for a few years, went to Temple but am from the ‘burbs of Philly originally – never considered myself as having a South Philly accent but I do pull off the phrase “Yo, HOw U Doin’?” pretty well.

Yes, Christa, I think you are onto something there! This is the beginning of a new craze. Now we can sweat and woopie-fart to the yoga music. I will be anxiously waiting for fart two, oh, I mean part two!
