Giggle On!

Wilmington’s Out of the Darkness Walk, photo essay

On November 15, 2008, I joined a hundred people for Delaware’s 1st Out of the Darkness Community Walk at Brandywine Creek State Park.

We walked through the woods as Ambassadors for Life (my term) and honored the memory of those who lost their lives to suicide. My personal collection of photos from the day’s event are shown below.

With the support of friends, colleagues and Giggle On! readers,  we helped raise over $1,000 for the AFSP, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The total amount raised for the AFSP was $7,000!

Thank you for helping me spread my message of hope!

Don’t Give Up! Giggle On!

Opening comments by U.S. Representative Mike Castle.

The rain stopped just in time for us to begin walking!

The girl’s from Padua Academy kept the mood light by singing Christmas carols. They sang Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer for me TWICE! Giggle On girls, Giggle On!

My biggest fan, Francesca, wearing a very cool Giggle On shirt! I’ve never seen anyone look as fabulous as she did walking through the woods.

Jim’s iron worker buddies Miguel and Paul joined me for a photo opportunity. Go IWL 451!
