On a gorgeous Saturday morning this past April 18, 2009, The Giggle On! for Kathy Team gathered in Wilmington, Delaware for the MS charity walk.

We united for a common cause;

We raised money and awareness for MS;

We supported my good friend Kathy;

but most of all…we cultivated new friendships and had a lot of fun in the process (and I made my FIRST movie)!

Team members wore funny hats and foam clown noses.

We played our colored kazoos, blew tiny bubbles and danced around with orange and purple balloons.

Tra-la-la!

Please accept my personal thanks for joining the team. Thank you for your generous financial contributions. Together we raised $2,061 for the MS Society. *clap, clap. clap* GREAT JOB!

Kathy had a great time at the walk. She told me to say “thank you” to every one who participated.

In preparation for the walk, I purchased a Flip Ultra Series Camcorder, 60-Minutes (Black). I wanted to record the Giggle On! team in action and the Flip Video made it easy to do.

Please check out my directorial movie debut below (You Tube – click the big arrow in the middle to start or CLICK HERE). Be kind. I am no Francis Ford Coppola or Steven Speilberg, I’m just a chick with a bug hat, a Flip Video camera and a lot of determination.

If you can see this, then you might need a Flash Player upgrade or you need to install Flash Player if it's missing. Get Flash Player from Adobe.

If you have Giggle On! for Kathy Team photos and you would like to share with me, email me at christa [at] giggle [on] dot com.

Once the MS Society sends me a copy of our Giggle On! for Kathy Team photo, I will post it here. To stay up to date with the latest photos, news and fun stuff from Giggle On! please subscribe to the site. Thanks ;-)

    It looks like you had an amazing time — and congrats on raising all that money!

    I don’t see a link to the video. I wanna see it? Am I blind?

    OK! The YouTube embed wasn’t showing up in Firefox, so I switched to IE. Perfect.

    YAY! I get to hear your giggle, and it’s so infectious! What fun. You did a great job with the video. I think my favorite part is the woman with the clown nose talking about joking with kids. She rocked that clown nose.

    I loved doing this event. YOU ROCK, SIS!
    XO’s to everyone – especially Kathy and her family, who have my deepest respect and admiration.
    From now on, I will ALWAYS apply “The GiggleOne Method” to all my charity walks! It just makes it so much more fun!
    PS: HELMET!!!!!

    LOL! You’re awesome! I actually have a friend who would’ve done that probably!

    Thanks soo much for the good laugh today! You and Christa are always there when we need a big smile. You never know when or how much you affect someone just by being who you are.

    Today is a bit of a challenge for me, as my roommates and I are saying “goodbye” to one of our beloved dogs, who is a 16 year old whippet named Meg. She is scheduled to be “put down” today at 3:30 PM, EST. I am quite sad. As with many of our animal companions, Meg has been a wonderful and reliable source of comfort over the years. She is a GREAT dog, and we will greatly miss her beauty in our lives. I’m grateful to have known her, and to have the memories with her, and I’m glad she’ll be pain free after today. …just so hard to make these decisions and know that we must sometimes “do the dead”…

    Be Blessed, Squiffy, Christa, and everyone! xo’s

    Annie, I am so sorry about Meg. I cannot imagine how hard this must be for you. The thought of having to put down Rosie at some point makes me physically ill.

    Pets become part of the family and losing them is like losing a part of us.

    From what you told me, Meg had has a wonderfully long and happy life and I hope cherishing those happy puppy times keep your heart light.

    I am here for you. :-) Hugs and BHJC

    Oh Annie

    Thank you for your kind words :O)

    This is what I live by

    The Clown’s Prayer
    “As I stumble through this life,
    help me to create more laughter than tears,
    dispense more happiness than gloom,
    spread more cheer than despair.
    Never let me become so indifferent
    that I will fail to see the wonder
    in the eyes of a child
    or the twinkle in the eyes of the aged.
    Never let me forget that my total effort is to cheer people, make them happy
    and forget at least momentarily
    all the unpleasantness in their lives.
    And, in my final moment;
    may I hear You whisper:
    When you made My people smile,
    you made Me smile.”

    :O)

    I am sorry to hear about Meg. I lost my very old timer, Eric a few months back, so know what you are currently going through. It does get better.

    Thank you, Christa and Squiffs. I LOVE all of your words…and especially cherish knowing “The Clown’s Prayer”. I am at a loss for words. Please just accept for now a very sincere and simple “Thank you” from the depths of my heart. You both make the world a brighter place by your magic, and you have certainly made a tremendous difference in my life.

    Aw shucks Annie :O)

    Why don’t you and Christa come say Hi on the MSRC’s MS Message Boards? We always have room for two more gigglers ;O)))

    Annie, this might help you today, I posted this on the day Eric, my 16+ german shepherd/border collie went to the great kennel.

    I Loved You Best

    So this is where we part, my Friend,
    and you’ll run on, around the bend.
    Gone from sight, but not from mind,
    new pleasures there you’ll surely find.

    I will go on, I’ll find the strength,
    life measures quality, not length.
    One long embrace before you leave,
    share one last look, before I grieve.

    There are others, that much is true,
    but they be they, and they aren’t you.
    And I, fair, impartial, or so I thought,
    Will remember well all you’ve taught.

    Your place I’ll hold, you will be missed,
    the fur I stroked, the nose I kissed.
    And as you journey to your final rest,
    take this with you…I loved you best.
