Trick or Treat. Smell my feet. Gimme something good to eat!
In celebration of Halloween, I decided to post some old photos of me all dressed up. I don’t play dress-up anymore (unless wearing pantyhose and a business suit counts) but perhaps I’ll do something special tonight!
Welcome to Christa’s Historical Pictorial Halloween
Let the embarrassment commence!
Here I am in the early 1970’s as a mean and dentally challenged witch. This costume was from the Kmart-plastic-witch-in-a-bag collection. Memba that? I was scary AND protected from inclement weather. Thanks Mom!
This was the start of my Wicked Witch of the West phase (apologies to Suzanne). Apparently my make-up artist (me) forgot to cover my neck in green. “I’ll get you my pretty, and your little barky dog too”.
Here is my quasi-witch goth bitch look, circa 1980’s, Flock of Seagulls era. Notice the big poofy Aqua Net hair? I ditched the witch hat this time – didn’t want my hair-doo to get all messed up. *laughing* Again, no make-up on the neck. Doesn’t that black outfit make me look so much thinner? *rubbing my eyes* I can barely see myself!
Are you starting to see my Halloween pattern here? Black & Witchy?

And before I left my Halloween dress up days behind me, I had a final hurrah in the late 80’s (notice the big hair again) as S&M Little Red Riding Hood. I set the witchy thing aside (in order to look sexy) but kept the black fashion and added leather. The props for my costume included a wicker basket filled with condoms, handcuffs and whip. And NO, it was JUST a costume. I’m a good Catholic school girl (but in recovery). My Big Bad Wolf boyfriend and I won first place at the Halloween party that year for best dressed. I seem to recall that was the first time I was introduced to Jello-shots. I can’t remember the rest…No surprise there.
Now that I’ve embarrassed myself and shown the world my 80’s hair, I’ll bid you all a Happy Halloween!
Giggle On!

Ha ha! I was careful not to get a shot of me in my Halloween video ;O) I was a white witch. If you look carefully, you might see an accidental millisecond of me ha ha!

You certainly do make a terrifying (and sex-ay) witch. But I gotta say, that “bad wolf” mask? Disturbingly realistic.

@ Babs- White witch? How does that work? Is that like a mime witch, ’cause, you know I hate mimes, right?
@JD – terrifying and sexy was EXACTLY what I was going for all those years ago.
I’m glad what I was projecting transcends time. That bad wolf mask was realistic. You should have seen him howl after a few of those Jello shots! Scare-eee!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I saw your presidential endorsement comment on NGIP a few days ago and hopped over to read. Alas, I am a bad SITSta and didn’t comment.
My personal favorite is the first one. I think someone would probably sue you for scaring the crap out of them if you wore that scary-ass mask out trick or treating these days!!
By the way, I totally remember those costumes with the plastic tablecloth capelets. They rawked! I remember my sister had a Witch Hazel one and I wanted it so bad!! By the time I really starting dressing up, it was too dangerous to wear a mask. Whatev….

Love the costumes. Sure you’re not still into the dressing up? It’s always good for a laugh.

Just realized, I forgot to actually comment (dimbo)
I think a definite pattern emerged there. Always a witch, but slowly becoming more sexy!
I don’t really know the difference between a black or white witch. I just got to wear a white outfit and look all virginal ;O)
