Do you have people in your organization who tend to melt down during times of crisis? Would they prefer to meet adversity with calmness and poise? Would you like to help your employees, members or attendees enhance their skills to adapt to change and cope with life’s challenges? Resiliency skills act as a lighthouse during life’s toughest storms. These skills can be developed and enhanced.
Nature provides us with two great resiliency survival tools: exercise and laughter. Our resilience workshop mixes mental health education, including a frank discussion about suicide prevention, with a little work and a lot of play.
Participants of this workshop will:
- Openly discuss risks involved with ignoring mental health
- Build a theoretical Resiliency Tool Box filled with coping supplies, a mental health first aid kit, and a laughter joystick.
- Learn techniques to de-stress, energize and laugh unconditionally
- Improve social connections, boost happy chemicals and lower stress hormones
“I would never have made it if I could not have laughed. Laughing lifted me momentarily . . . out of this horrible situation, just enough to make it livable . . . survivable.” – Victor Frankl, Holocaust survivor
