Like, yo – I’m famous.
Ok, not really famous, not Kate Hudson, Sean Penn or Sean Connery famous but I am in the Limelight at the News4Women site this week. Is this my 15 minutes of fame – Andy Warhol style? I dunno.
Make sure you read to the end of this post for some juicy dish about moi. It’s a confession. Rumor has it – something BIG is happening for me (to me) next month! B-I-G!
Here is the question and answer section from my Limelight spot. If you want to be in the Limelight visit the News4Women site.
- Success can be defined in many ways. How do you define success?
Success is the opportunity to learn, grow and experience joy.
- If you could have a conversation with a particular individual, living or dead, who would it be and why?
Einstein. I bet he would have helped me with my high school physics homework.
- Tell us about your favorite book or author.
Jim Rohn’s wrote “Change Begins with Choice” and his words resonate deeply in my heart. “Any day we wish; we can discipline ourselves to change it all. Any day we wish; we can open the book that will open our mind to new knowledge.” We have the ability to totally transform every area in our lives – it all begins with our own power of choice.
- What is something readers of NEWS4Women would be surprised to learn about you?
I once was a professional chef. I rarely cook now but I still have my chef hat and a complete set of J.A. Henckels knives. Mangia!
- Confess a guilty pleasure- come on, we all have them!
Chocolate covered espresso beans.
- If you were given $10,000 to make a difference in your community how would you spend it?
I would use the $10,000 as seed money to develop and facilitate grief retreats for adults who lost a loved one to suicide. Suicide prevention, education and support for survivors of suicide is a cause near and dear to my heart.
NEWS4Women was founded by Carol E. Arnott
Carol’s passion to support other women through social and professional connections grew from her experience as a woman business owner, a social activist, and from a sincere desire to help other women. Carol recognized that women are not only a major economic force, but are also largely responsible for social change in our communities.
By providing a collaborative community of education and empowerment NEWS4Women promotes economic opportunity for women and supports nonprofit organizations to improve the quality of life for our families.
Carol and are are two similar peas in a similar pod. We are both business owners and visionaries AND we have really cool cartoon caricatures of ourselves! If you want a cool cartoon of yourself, email me and I’ll tell you how to get one.
Salud’ to you Carol and to NEWS4Women! You embody the Giggle On! spirit and we thank you for making the world a better place.
