One of my most giggly moments was in grad school during class. Everyone would send around sign-up sheets for crap that we were supposed to plan (fundraisers and what not). Then one of my friends sends around a sheet that says "Sign up sheet Sign up sheet", and then "PT Bloodletting Day Sign up Sheet". I had to leave the classroom because I was starting to choke on my spit from trying to contain my laughter, but as I walked into the hallway I laughed out loud really loud so everyone could hear it. I know it's not funny to you but it brought back some giggly memories.....

Christa: Thanks for sharing your giggle/laughing fit. Amazing sometimes how when we get laughing it becomes impossible to stop.

Brought back a memory for me when I was in the monastery as a young man. We used to have to chant the Office, a series of prayers and incantations. Very serious stuff. However, the giggle bug would visit every once in a while and the infectious laughter of 35 monks would rock the chapel. Of course the more we tried to stop, the worse it got. Sometimes the Superior would come down and take us to task. That worked sometimes and we recovered our decorum But other times no. Then we got in real trouble for being disobedient.

As I think back I smile at the un-fettered joy that overcame us.

Maybe other people have similar memories of when the giggle bug landed....C
