How to Be Happy

A few years ago, I was feeling pretty badly about the state of my life. In the throes of my confusion and dissatisfaction, I sought out answers on how to live a happier life. I started to analyze every aspect of my life from every perspective. It became my full time job in some ways. It consumed me. I was determined to lift myself out of darkness and despair. I read books voraciously and looked for help on the Internet.

What is happy? Fun?

Believe it or not, I actually Googled the words “happiness” and “fun” because I was unsure of what they actually meant. Sounds pathetic – but it is sadly true.

I came across a site explaining the word “fun” and the information and exercises contained within were most helpful to me. It was really quite tough trying to figure out what was fun when I had spent so much of my life working, studying, pushing hard and trying to succeed. Fun was sleeping! Fun, as far as I was concerned, was not bouncing a check, not having to have surgery or not getting a parking ticket and not having the urge to kill myself. How sad!

During my search for answers, I also came across a site called This site ROCKS! The free 90-page e-book called How To Be Happy and Have Fun Changing the World was a lifesaver! I am not getting a kickback from the author for mentioning this website but since it is free, it is worthy of a look for anyone searching for some, or more, happiness in their lives. What do you have to lose?

I read the entire e-book in one sitting. I devoured it. This guy, author Michael Anthony, made so much sense it was both scary and exhilarating at the same time.

In, Anthony refers to Deepak Chopra (Quantum Healing: Exploring the Frontiers of Mind/Body Medicine and our capacity to heal ourselves), Don Miguel Ruiz and Eckhart Tolle (referring to the positive and negative “tape” we play in our minds and our ability to change the tape), Dr. Wayne Dyer and The Power of Intention, Steven Hawkins’ Power vs. Force (law of cause and effect).

I read Quantum Healing, the Power of Intention, several of Eckhart Tolle’s books, Don Miguel Ruiz’ book The Four Agreements and pieces of Steven Hawkins’ Power vs Force.

Know this – you do not need to invest time and money to read all these books in order understand and benefit from Anthony’s message. He summarizes brilliantly. Why not check it out?

Free stuff rocks!
