Origins of the Giggle On Laughter Drive & thoughts on stewardship

“I have been richly blessed and graced with the innate ability to laugh. God put me on the planet to deliver smiles and laughter to people who are sick, stressed out, grieving or depressed. Yup, I’m on a giggle mission from God.” – Christa Scalies

Giggle On originated as a way for Christa to help save lives and raise awareness about suicide. At its core, Giggle On is all about serving the community.

Giggle On’s Laughter Drive began in earnest in March 2012. After being inspired by late Rachel Gambrill, Christa expanded her service scope and set her sights on delivering smiles and laughter to children in pediatric facilities, specifically in the Wilmington and Philadelphia metropolitan areas.

Since inception, Giggle On and friends have donated hundreds of laughter, wellness and stress relieving toys to a dozen of facilities located in Delaware, Philadelphia, Austin, Texas, Memphis, Tennessee and even as far as Bangalore and Mumbai, India.
